Approaching Chakrasana / Kavandhasana
I posted sometime ago the ardha-chakrasana and the kavandhasana. However, they might be too difficult to execute for beginners. I am therefore, posting one that gives a swell approach to those above two Asanas.
Procedure :
1) Lift the back and the butts a little to slide in the locked palms under the back
2) Exert pressure with your shoulder blades, triceps and the locked palms to the ground to create enough force to lift the body - mainly the waist region.
3) Inhale while lifting the body

Hey Durga, you are going great guns. These are really good asanas and know the effort that goes with taking pics and uploading them.
Regarding me , I am hangind in there. Since my condition of bulging disc had aggravated I had to do something else . My body is responding to Spinal decompression therapy. Cheers, Anurag Bahal
Anurag,
After your body gets a little better, perhaps then you can resort to doing yoga.
But don't do any backbending Asanas - not even the ones that I have given. Back bending exercises can restore only slightly problematic back.
For you, you can try -
0) Waist tilting
1) One legged version of utthanpadasana
2) one legged version of utthitapadasana
3) one legged version of pavanmuktasana
4) the Tolangulasana - type 1
5) Tolangulasana - type 2
6) Markatasana variation 1
Backbending exercise for medium acute back pain
Only Saral Bhujangasana may be done. However, during the Asana if it pains, STOP IMMEDIATELY.
Warning:Be very careful however, if it pains while doing any asana, stop doing it immediately , and never try it again unless the condition of back improves.
